Rear Body Brace
By now, most Turbo Regal owners know that the Regal bodies will twist under the massive power the turbo engines put out. GNX's came from the factory with a brace to address this problem. But the GN's and other Buick Turbo Regals did not.
The "TinMan Performance" Rear body brace attaches to the rear seat bracing as well as the floor pan behind the rear seat to stiffen the body and help eliminate body twist upon hard acceleration or driving on rough roads which causes cracking in the roof pillar area if left un-braced.
I also offer a 82-87 Buick T/R- GNX body to upper frame Bushing set. These rubber, upper frame to body bushings came from the factory, only on the Buick GNX, but are a welcome addition for any Turbo Regal. Working thru the rear wheelwells, they slide into existing holes in the upper frame, just in front of the rear axle. (bushing position#5).
If you are installing a TPP-Turbo Regal/ GNX style Rear Body brace kit, these 2 items compliment each other perfectly, giving a tighter ride with less "body flex/ twist" helping prevent those undesirable" roof pillar" cracks.
